Looking to brush up on your skills before you set off?

If you already have a trip organised, are simply looking for some pre-expedition training, and can come to Kent (South East England) for a day, then get in touch.

ONE DAY TRAINING
Focuses on providing a foundation in off-road driving and expedition preparation though plenty of hands on experience.
​

£250per day, plus 
£50 per additional person
per day, plus 

TWO DAY TRAINING
Progresses to advanced off-road driving techniques and standard modes of vehicle recovery. 
​
TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
Whilst all training covers the foundation knowledge and skills needed for off-road driving, each course is tailored to focus on the skill sets most relevant to your needs. 
​
SKILL SETS THAT CAN BE COVERED

OFF ROAD DRIVING
Vehicle checks, driving skills, 4WD systems, low and high range gears, differential locks, terrain risk assessment and negotiation


RECOVERY
Safe modes of vehicle recovery using rope, winch, hi-lift jack as well as improvised techniques.

FIELD REPAIR
Basic vehicle maintenance and repair covering tires, brakes, radiators, axles and much more.

​

PLANNING
We can cover all aspects of expedition logistics including destination, route, timings, record keeping, passports, visas, border crossings, vehicle shipping, costs and insurance.

​

VEHICLE PREPARATION
Emphasis on vehicle choice, modifications, equipment, spares, tools, fuel, security and safe loading.

​

NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATION
Correct use of compass, map reading and GPS systems, radios and satellite phones.

​

MEDICAL
Advice measures to take prior to travel as well as wilderness first aid that is essential in remote areas.

​

CULTURAL ISSUES
Cultural and ethical considerations, notably camp etiquette, driving around wild animals and best conduct with local people.
